Coffee Please!

My coffee maker is groaning. It makes me half a cup instead of a full cup each morning. I stare at it like an aberrant child as it produces a less than desired, coffee ground filled cup of goo.

I need a new coffee maker.

Star Bucks is my emergency back up plan. I hate spending money. I work too hard to waste it, but coffee, like confession, is a necessary part of life, so here I am, searching for a new coffee maker.

I tried the coffee press. Too much work for someone who needs coffee to get going in the morning. I thought about instant coffee but…. Yuck. 🤢

I tried the electric kettle thing where water boils in seconds. Again, not for me.

So here I am, relying on Amazon reviews to guide me through the purchase process.

It’s been a rough week. Things are piling up. Stress is funny like that; it is compounding and it is important to recognize the stress points and mitigate it as much as possible. Over the years I have neglected my mental health but now, as I age, I cannot afford to do that any longer. I roll Out of bed at 4am to walk. I limit caffeine to two cups a day. I eat right (sometimes) and try to spend time with family but some days it all still catches up with me.
